Campus Climate Task Force subcommittee makes recommendations to improve University Professional Development and Departmental Leadership
In 2014, Ohio University Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit established the Campus Climate Task Force to evaluate information resulting from the Modern Think 2014 Great Colleges Survey and formulate actionable recommendations.
Purchasing mandate for preferred suppliers moves into final phase
As previously communicated, the Ohio Task Force on Affordability and Efficiency in Higher Education, with the Board of Trustees ratification, requires Ohio University to leverage purchases campus-wide through contracted suppliers and leverage purchases state-wide for areas of common spending through the Inter-University Council Purchasing Group (IUC-PG). There are several initiatives underway on campus that support these mandates. The Affordability and Efficiency (AE) Work Group formed in 2017 to help implement these state-issued mandates and their work has included a roll out plan of the preferred supplier list for the institution.
Human Resources provides guidelines for summer hours
To further support the work/life balance of Ohio University staff members, the University encourages departments to offer staff members flexibility in their hours of work during the summer term.
Concur Mobile App use
Some users have been attempting to use the Concur Mobile App to approve Concur reports on their mobile devices. Unfortunately, Cost Object Approval is not supported on the mobile app at this time. Users will need to log in to the website in their mobile device's browser in order to complete a Cost Object Approval.

Benefits Open Enrollment Available at Noon on 4/9/18
The annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will be available beginning at noon on Monday, April 9, 2018. The enrollment period is scheduled to close on Friday, May 4, 2018.
Petty cash and change fund management
Internal Audit conducts cash counts and discusses account handling across campus to ensure that funds are intact and used as intended and to identify ways to strengthen controls. The following information should help guide and remind planning units of proper handling of these funds.
Purchasing Card Refund Form updated
The Purchasing Card Refund Form has been updated to include the Grants Module, Project-Task-Award (PTA) deposits for expense reimbursement. The Grants Module Deposit Form for Purchasing Card refunds is located on the second tab of the Purchasing Card Refund [Excel] form on the Finance Forms web page.
