Michelle earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from Michigan State University and completed her internship at the Colorado State University Counseling Center. Before joining Ohio University, she provided clinical services at the Louisiana Tech University Counseling Center, building a strong foundation in university-based mental health care. Michelle is a multicultural, feminist therapist with extensive experience supporting college students. Her clinical interests include women’s issues, LGBTIQA+ concerns, trans-affirmative care, trauma work, and group therapy. She is especially passionate about working with student-athletes, students with learning disabilities and ADHD, and fostering peer mentorship. Throughout her career at CPS, Michelle has taken on key leadership roles, including serving as Group Therapy Coordinator for four years and Training Director for eight years. She currently works as an embedded clinician in Athletics, where she supports student-athletes in navigating both performance and well-being. Michelle is deeply committed to integrating clinical care, supervision, advocacy, and social justice into her work—while also recognizing the importance of balance and self-care. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, yoga, knitting, gardening, crafting, and diving into esoteric podcasts.
