Concur Default Cost Centers
On September 18th, a new OBI dashboard was deployed to provide planning units with access to the Concur default cost center information that they’ve established for their employees. Concur is a third party software product, and every night we feed HR updates from eBiz to Concur via an integration. If there is an error in the employee’s data being transmitted, Concur will not update anything about the employee.
One-click software installs and worry-free security updates coming soon to university Macs
Software and security updates are about to get a whole lot easier for many university-owned Mac computers. Over the next few months, OIT will roll out a new Mac Management application called Self Service to all university departments. Self-Service offers one-click installers for university-licensed software packages and automatically takes care of required security updates.
Adobe Acrobat Pro availability will change Nov. 1, 2019
If you have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro that you downloaded from the OIT Software page or that was installed on your university-owned computer via Software Center, Managed Software Center, or Self Service, that copy will stop working on November 1, 2019. You have several options, depending on how you use Acrobat.
Booking Group Travel Course Available
This course shows users how to book group travel with the University’s travel management company and how to use preferred provider(s). Topics include airfare, lodging, meals, transportation, expense reimbursement, international travel, and meeting space.

New recycling grant assists initiative to process organic waste on campus
Ohio University was awarded a recycling grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency that will support a 12-month initiative to improve organic waste collection on campus.
OU opens the door to more local food in dining halls
Ohio University earlier this year announced that it’s now buying food both from the Chesterhill Produce Auction in Morgan County and from the university’s Student Farm on West State Street for its dining halls and markets.
Fall 2019 Sustainable Administration Hub Seminar
Dr. Ryan Fogt, the OHIO Sustainable Administration Hub Coordinator, will kick off the fall Sustainability Hub Seminar Series on Wednesday September 4th at 5pm in Baker Center’s Front Room. This semester the Seminar Series will be held on September 4th, October 3rd and November 6th at 5pm in the Front Room.
