Building Biodiversity: Acid Mine drainage kills biodiversity in Hocking River


Rust-colored sludge fills the streams of Southeast Ohio as acid mine drainage from abandoned coal mines continues to pollute tributaries of the Hocking River, destroying local aquatic habitats.

Changes to JET and the JET Template


Multiple changes are being implemented for the JET application and the JET template.  These will be implemented Monday evening and will go into effect beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2020. 

Everyone will need to download and use the new template starting on Tuesday morning. They will also need to be aware of and implement, if necessary, the changes listed below:

In early April, Microsoft will start using a new background image for their sign-in screens. This is a cosmetic change only. The actual login process will not change.

Ohio University announced last Thursday that it will install a green roof over the Schoonover Center lobby’s roof this spring, which will primarily be used for environmental sustainability research, according to a press release.
